Engadget wrote a comprehensive review of this new Android phone, but all I could focus on was the picture at the top: the camera on the front was moved to the top-right so the AT&T logo could take center stage. And that’s all I need to know.

Apple hiring iPhone antenna engineers for some reason

Apparently the old ones weren’t holding their paychecks correctly.

Facebook finally comes to webOS | Engadget

What a strange, and yet utterly appropriate adaptation of Facebook for WebOS.  When I say that UI design for the different mobile platforms requires vastly different thinking, this is what I mean.  It’s utterly barebones for now, but given the smaller screen size and multitasking nature of the Pre experience, this is quite good.

Motorola DROID review

The problems outlined by Engadget:

  1. No multitouch support.
  2. Fussy hardware keyboard.
  3. Bad software keyboard.
  4. Poor camera control, speed and focus.
  5. Android 2.0 unremarkably different from 1.6.
  6. Deleting email accounts requires a factory reset in some cases.
  7. Ugly mess of a music player.
  8. Phone app has a “hastily thrown together interface.”
  9. Widget-promoting phone devoid of widgets like Weather.
  10. 3rd Party Android apps don’t play nice with the new screen resolution (this is Megaton’s biggest concern with Android: different hardware specs lead to usability issues.)
  11. Maps Navigation unable to parse one-way streets.

I’m sure Apple is quaking in its iBoots right now.
